Pulsed Fiber Lasers

MPBC’s line of Pulsed Fiber Lasers are designed to address a range of market applications including medical and bio-medical research, semi-conductor inspection, micro-machining, metrology, and multi-photon spectroscopy.

The high-power Mode Locked Femtosecond Fiber Lasers operate at the 920 nm and 1190  nm spectral range - which is traditionally covered by ultrafast Ti:Sapphire lasers and optical parameteric oscillators. They generate linearly polarized nearly transformed-limited pulses with a pulse duration of 200 fs, at a repetition rate of 80 MHz, and an average power of 1 W. Compact and maintenance-free, the lasers are fiber-based, have a very good beam profile, and do not require optical alignment.

MPBC’s Mode-Locked Fiber Lasers operate in the 1 µm or the 1.5 µm regime and offer pulses in the pico-second regime and can be used as a seed source for optical amplifiers and second harmonic generation.   Based on an all-fiber design, the MLFL is highly reliable (10,000 hrs) and maintenance-free.  To ensure an environmentally-stable linearly-polarized output and turnkey self-start operation, all components are made of polarization-maintaining fiber.

MPBC’s Nanosecond Pulsed Fiber Lasers provide user selectable repetition rates and are based on an all-fiber laser cavity offering excellent beam quality and wall plug efficiency.  The Graphical User Interface allows the user to change repetition rates as needed to further refine their application.  These compact, air-cooled lasers are an excellent choice for your application.
